Most of the time, I’m thinking of the next story and hoping my writing tells it pretty well. This isn’t something in your head that you try to achieve as a writer. (Or Sara Shepard, or any of these other writers for that matter.) I don’t know if any other writers do this, but I’m incredibly in awe to be this close to someone like John Green. In Young Adult Mysteries, we’re still on the same page, but there’s a few more books between us. That’s in Young Adult Romantic Mysteries. Until one morning I checked rankings, and this happened. So for the past few weeks, The Academy series has been growing, steadily and scarily.
